Kimedics Schedule Screens

Kimedics helps healthcare organizations manage and collaborate with providers, operators, and vendors. They needed a scheduler that could accommodate the multiple views required by different user types.

Kimedics Schedule Screens

On top of many facilities being understaffed and overworked, provider schedules are constantly changing. Kimedics needed a way to let different user types see the schedule in a way that accommodated their unique needs. Providers (Doctors, Nurses, Techs, etc) needed to see the schedule and know what shifts were available on a particular day and claim an open spot if it was available. They also needed to see who was already scheduled and request a schedule swap or reach out to someone not already on the schedule to pick up a shift they could no longer keep.

Kimedics Schedule Screens

Each facility’s scheduler needed to assign shifts that weren’t already claimed and move providers from one shift to another to even the workload.

Kimedics Schedule Screens

With so many different people involved, one type of view could be limiting. Users sometimes needed a month-at-a-glance view, while others needed to see a week at a time...

... or a day at a time. In these calendar views, the color palette gave a enough variations so that each provider could have their own color. (Accessible options were discussed, but due to time and budget constraints, that exploration was saved for another phase.)

Kimedics Schedule Screens

Viewing preferences and filters across the top of each screen allowed users to quickly narrow their view by role, facility, provider, etc.

Kimedics Schedule Screens

In the table view, users could quickly sort by column.
